Mike & Alyssa are FINALLY married!!! This day was nearly three years in the making as they postponed and waited patiently through the unexpected twists and turns of a global pandemic. And really, we could say it’s even more than three years in the making … more like FIFTEEN … if we begin when these two first met. Needless to say, they are VERY happy to now be able to call each other husband and wife!!

Mike & Alyssa met on a chat board for their favorite band. At the time, he lived in Texas and she in Wisconsin. They talked on and off for several years before they really reconnected and, just a few months later, Mike found himself moving to Wisconsin to be as close as possible to the woman he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He shared how leaving his friends and all he knew in Texas was one of the most difficult decisions of his life at the time, but now he couldn’t possibly be happier or more thankful that he followed his heart : )

One of my favorite parts of the entire day was Mike & Alyssa’s first dance. It was such a special moment as nearly every person in attendance was singing along to the words as they danced together. It just felt like such a connective moment that truly showcased the community these two have surrounding and supporting them. It actually gives my chills remembering it.

My biggest reflection as I look back on Mike & Alyssa’s day is that these two are EXTREMELY loved. As I’ve personally witnessed how much they love and are committed to one another over the past couple of years, it makes complete sense that this love and loyalty would also be shared with and by their family and friends. We are so, SO happy for you, Baders! Thank you for inviting us in and sharing your love with us. We are so grateful! Here’s to MANY more joyful celebrations to come <3
