When Elevate Events asked me to be the photographer for Wisconsin Bride Magazine‘s Fall/Winter Editorial, it’s safe to say I was just a little bit excited : ) I knew the shoot was going to be BEAUTIFUL, innovative, and creatively-inspiring. What better way to start my 2022 season? We did this shoot in early March, so I was just coming off the really restful part of our slow season and eager to start creating again!

As you will soon see, there was certainly incredible talent involved in this day and I am thrilled to finally be able to share it now that the magazine is in print and on the shelves! I mean it wholeheartedly when I say that we are SO lucky to be surrounded by industry friends who love to collaborate, support one another, and make MAGIC! A very special shoutout to the team at Elevate for dreaming up such a breathtaking design.

“Autumn can be so much more than maroon and orange. When choosing the palette and considering Ebb & Flow‘s floral mastery, we opted for the luxurious aubergine tones as our main focal color, with notes of muddied mauve, taupe and creams to add richness. Northern Haus in Door County is a lovely setting for a modern and stylish wedding, making the rich autumn colors really sing. 

With a neutral base and understated place settings on the dinner table, the flowers took center stage. Ranunculus in a rich aubergine paired with soft shades of Westminster Abbey, Champagne roses, and hybrid delphinium worked beautifully together to create a full and rich look. We kept a strong focus on textures and used a variety of dried floral, fresh blooms, branches and mosses to match the season. 

Wearing “Carla” from Alon Livne‘s 2022 Carmen Collection, our Bride represented the epitome of romance, inspiring the everyday bride looking for a simple, classic and less-is-more look.”
