We are wrapping up the 2022 season with just a few more engagement sessions as fall comes to a close! My recent session with Jon and Morgan was my first one post-baby and gosh, it felt sooooo good to get out, hang with these two amazing ADULT humans, and press into a part of myself other than “mom.” My time with them was incredibly energizing and, once again, reminded me of the many things I’m thankful for in this career.
Planning this session with Morgan was a really fun and, well, bonding experience : ) She is such a creative spirit AND very detail-oriented so … a girl after my own heart! We began our time together at one of Jon’s favorite places in Madison, Bandit Tacos & Coffee! I couldn’t believe it but I had never heard of this place before their session and let’s just say, we will certainly be back! What a unique concept with thoughtfully-crafted and locally-sourced food. The vibe of the restaurant is super cool and very “on-brand” with the vision Jon and Morgan have for their wedding celebration at Garver Feed Mill next year! Following Bandit Tacos, we headed to the Memorial Union Terrace to end the session with some photos by the lake at twilight. It was *magic.*
From the moment I first met Jon and Morgan on a FaceTime call a few months ago, I felt right “at home” with them. They are incredibly down-to-earth and ooze this ‘all are welcome here with us’ presence; it really is something notable and special. They are very obviously in love, which certainly made my job easy as well ; ) I am truly so glad fate brought these two together on a biking adventure (they are originally from different states!) and has now brought them to Madison, Wisconsin : )
