It’s the PERFECT start to the fall season on the blog today! Ryan & Alexis were married last weekend in beautiful Sister Bay, Door County and were gifted with gorgeous fall weather for their intimate celebration. When you dream up a fall wedding and then begin to plan, theirs is the kind of day you are envisioning. I am SO glad this deserving couple got what they were hoping for : )
On the top of Ryan & Alexis’ wedding planning list was a day focused on their guests. These two wanted to create an experience that showed their family and friends just how much they value and love them. Something I really admire about Ryan & Alexis is how intentional they are in all they do. I have no doubt those in their circle feel and appreciate this daily.
Their outdoor ceremony was filled with sunshine and happy tears : ) Ryan & Alexis’ officiant shared that he always asks couples to send him a little bit about themselves and their relationship … but never has he received SO much information and detail from a couple! This doesn’t surprise me one bit : ) I credit it to their shared organizational skills and again, that unique intentionality. Everything these two do is done with their whole heart.
After the ceremony, guests shared an intimate meal together at one grand table. Ryan’s mom made their very special wedding cake and it was certainly enjoyed by all! There were lots of laughs (and more tears, of course!) as guests shared memories and toasted to the newlyweds and their beautiful future together. Dinner and dessert was followed by games and a bonfire as some of Ryan & Alexis’ favorite moments in life have been spent around the fire and playing games with their family and friends. The entire evening was designed as a special nod to this : )
We’ll end this post with one final CONGRATULATIONS to the Johnstons … we are so, SO happy for you! Enjoy a few of our favorite details and moments from your unforgettable day <3
