We had the most *perfect* night for Todd & Julie’s engagement session last week! Not quite summer weather and yet, somehow, also not yet the coolness of fall. It was that kind of evening where they say you “can’t tell where your skin ends and the air begins.” I had been looking SO forward to finally meeting these two in person and was thrilled with the beautiful evening we were gifted for our time together! We ended the evening at the street light where they shared their first kiss, and where Todd proposed two years later (their idea!).
I connected with Julie right off the bat when we first met on the phone many months ago. She shared a bit of her and Todd’s story with me, as well as the vision they have for their upcoming intimate, family-oriented spring celebration on the rooftop of the Edgewater Hotel. She had this lively personality, was so easy to talk to, and I could tell was an incredibly thoughtful, fun, and accomplished human being. Todd was also on the call, but her and I did most of the talking ; )
At their session, however, I came to quickly learn that Todd is gentle, approachable, sincere, and kind. I don’t think he stopped smiling the entire session : ) Spending any amount of time with these two, it couldn’t be more obvious what a perfect match they are for one another. Their mutual adoration and respect is evident, along with a playful spirit and match-made-in-heaven kind of energy. I am SO happy they found each other, and truly so thankful to be entrusted to document this season of their story!
