Jonathan & Maddie | An Edgewater Wedding Reception Celebration on the Lake in Madison, Wisconsin.

Jonathan & Maddie’s Edgewater wedding reception was a joyful celebration indeed, and I am SO excited to share it with you today on the blog! These two were actually married last year, in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their families that we were also able to be a part of. With a few family members battling serious health conditions, Jonathan & Maddie chose to get married and have their ceremony a year earlier than originally planned, to ensure that everyone they care most about in their lives could be in attendance. This was not an easy decision at the time, but I am so glad they made it. I know they are, too.

This year’s event was held to gather together family and friends from near and far, and to celebrate their love, commitment, and marriage! It was so special to get to be with their families once again, and to get to meet some of their closest friends for the first time! The day was filled with joy, laughter, sunshine (which was unexpected but very welcomed!) and lots of happy tears. There were several times throughout the day that I found myself wiping my own tears away as I swear, I have the best seat in the house to these sacred moments from behind my camera lens. It is such an honor.

I am so thankful that our paths crossed with two people as kind as Jonathan & Maddie. I am thankful they got a beautiful summer day on the water to share in the joy and love that surrounds them from so many people in their lives. I am thankful for the words of encouragement poured over them during the toasts at dinner and for the FUN that was had all throughout the day and especially on the dance floor later that night!
