The older I get, and the more of life I am able to experience, the more deeply grateful I am for this work I get to do. And, even more personally, how lucky and thankful I am to get to document my own kids’ lives 🙏🏻

These are really intimate photos for me to post, but I want to share them because of how much I believe in the message they bring up inside of me. These are two of the most cherished photos I have with my daughter. She is now five years old and, yesterday, I watched her “walk across the bridge” at her 4K graduation heading toward kindergarten in the fall.

Where did the time go? 

We hoped and prayed and waited so very long to meet her — I will never, ever take getting to be her mom for granted. When she arrived, it flipped our world upside down in the most unimaginable, best way possible. How truly fortunate I am to get to have these photos that mark some of the most sacred moments of our shared life together thus far. Call me crazy, but I can almost feel her small, soft body against mine when I look at them. And now, here I am in tears as I write this post today.

*These* are the kind of moments I so yearningly want to give to the parents who trust me to document their family. They are raw, sacred, messy, intimate, vulnerable, BEAUTIFUL moments that makes us feel, and help us remember. They tell some of the most important parts of our story; the ordinary suddenly becoming extraordinary 🤎 

These moments are why I created my Signature Lifestyle Sessions. To help families document life in a different kind of way, capturing and preserving the things they truly want to remember most. I know how daunting it can feel to invite someone into your home, let alone capture a moment between you and your children like the ones I’m sharing here. That is why I approach each Lifestyle Session with gratitude and tenderness, taking the time to thoughtfully get to know each family before I enter their home, and collaborating with parents to create an experience that is truly genuine and comfortable.
