Alec & Abby | A Colorful Spring Wedding at Garver Feed Mill in Madison, Wisconsin.

What a BEAUTIFUL start to our 2026 wedding season! Alec & Abby’s colorful celebration at Garver Feed Mill was not only beautiful, but heart-warming and memorable. I truly feel so thankful these two chose us to help preserve some of their life’s most sacred moments on their wedding day. Their earnest love, genuine kindness, and profound authenticity have left a deep impact on not only our lives, but the lives of so many people who know and love them.

We began the day at the Madison Concourse Hotel in downtown Madison where the entire bridal party got ready together : ) I love that Alec and Abby chose to spend as much of their day together as possible! They parted ways just before the first look, when Abby got ready with her mom and sister while Alec spent time with his groomsmen.

We then headed to Olbrich Biergarten for the couple’s first look. Alec and Abby intentionally chose this spot, not because it has a stunning view of Lake Monona and the Wisconsin State Capitol (this was just a bonus!) but because it is where they met for the first time at a work gathering. We couldn’t have had a more beautiful summer day, and these two were on ‘Cloud 9’ to be together and to be marrying each other. There were lots (and lots and lots!) of happy tears during the first look … and all day long : )

After our time at Olbrich Biergarten, we headed to Garver Feed Mill where Alec and Abby met up with their wedding party and family. During their ceremony, they shared the most heartfelt vows, and the entire room joined them in happy tears. After becoming husband and wife, it was time to celebrate(!) with family and friends, and the evening was FULL of joy, dancing, magic tricks, delicious food, more happy tears, laughter, toasts, and love.

As I was moving about Alec and Abby’s day, something I kept thinking and noticing was this sense of “awe” I thought I kept seeing on each of their faces. Awe that they were chosen by and got to marry each other. Awe for the sense of love and support they felt from those around them. Awe for the gift of life … to be able to notice it, soak it in, and celebrate the gifts they have been given. They were so present in it all, so grateful, so in awe.

I am so thankful Alec and Abby exist in this world. They are making it a better place. Their love is such a beautiful example for everyone who meets them.
