Today is a fun day! Maison and I thought it could be fun to switch things up a bit and have me write this anniversary blog post because you’ve heard her perspective on Ben & Kalli twice now (we shot both their 2nd and 3rd anniversary photos!) and to be honest … well, she couldn’t have picked a better couple to launch my blogging endeavors! ; ) I’m super excited about the couple on the blog today because their marriage is extremely admirable and the “way” they are together leaves no doubt in your mind that they were made for each other.

Over the past three years, we have had an inside look at Ben and Kalli’s beautiful marriage and have gotten to experience it as not only photographers but also friends. If you guys know me, you have probably gathered that I am a bit socially awkward and so I always get super excited when I meet people that I am genuinely comfortable around (even if I just met them!). Ben and Kalli are these kind of people. They are so welcoming and every time we get together it feels like we learn SO much about each other!

For their session, we met these two in downtown Madison and shot at two of my favorite spots. First we went to the romantic Period Park (a park nestled off a busy street in downtown Madison that easily goes undetected) and then finished with some amazing formal outfits at the State Capitol. The outfits that Ben and Kalli chose to wear for the “finale” of their session made these two look as if they were celebrities. We spent our time chatting, laughing, dancing (well, we didn’t dance, but they did!) and enjoying the sweet emotions these two displayed as we reminisced about the four years of their marriage thus far. I love photography, but my favorite part of my job is getting to experience the beautiful relationships I am able to capture with Maison.

Ben and Kalli, Maison and I love you guys more than you know! We are so thrilled to know you both and excited to grow in marriage together! You are a beautiful blessing in our lives. Now for some photos! Enjoy!
