It’s time for MY favorite post of the year! I love getting to review our year of weddings through various moments, details, and portraits of each of our weddings. Putting this post together allows me to relive each day and the experiences we were able to share with each incredible couple. And this, of course, leaves me feeling so extremely grateful.

This year, we only photographed 16 weddings! This was a huge (purposeful) cut to our previous seasons, where we were photographing 28-30 weddings on average. There are a lot of reasons we chose to take less weddings this year and as we have reflected back on the season, we are so thankful we made this decision! It has allowed us to be even more intentional with each couple and also have some breathing room in our busy summer season. We felt more refreshed and more creative … and even had some weekends where we weren’t working and instead, spending time with family and friends! It felt like the perfect balance : )

When Caleb and I were recently talking about this past year … and just our business in general … we both agreed that each year brings with it a greater sense of just this deep gratitude for the people we get to work with and the relationships we make with them. Every couple (and the individuals that make up those couples!) have a unique and powerful story. These stories are SO valuable, SO important, and SO needed in this world. It is so amazing to us that we get to enter these stories for a period of time and not only experience them firsthand but get to be a small part of them. We meet our couples in such a special season of their lives and this makes our job so incredibly cool.

So thank you to each beautiful couple that trusted us to document a really, really significant part of your story this year. We LOVE you and are truly so lucky to know you!
